For Christmas this year Sam gave me a weekend getaway in San Diego, CA. I have to say that it was the best Christmas present ever! We flew out on Friday morning and stayed until Sunday afternoon, which was perfect time away from the kids. The weather was amazing, I could go for 75 degree weather in January any day! We had so much fun doing anything we wanted at anytime. Shopping, laying by the pool, hot tub at night, movies, sleeping in, and of course eating at yummy restaurants. I would have to recommend this gift to every husband, your wife will love you just a little more. Thanks Sam for a much needed vacation it was a great weekend. Sad to say we didn't get one picture, but we did have a great time.

Whit, glad you had a great weekend in CA, but you are missing out notbeing here with us!!!!!!!! You should have postponed the trip and done it in Feb. Just yesterday alone we rode elephants all by ourselves, sitting on the head kind of thing, and driving them through the mountains of Phukett, then we went white water rafting down the mountain (level 3) and yes, I actually did it! (the water was only about waist/chest high) then they drove us back up the mountain and dropped us off and we hiked up the mountain a bit to an amazing waterfall. We (not me, but everyone else) :) ciff jumped and swam around. We hiked back down, came back to the hotel, showered and went to dinner on this pier. Great food. And lastly, we went to the Phukett FantaSea. It was a Circ de Solei type show only they had like 20 elephants, a tiger, nanny goats, birds, chickens, etc. with the acrobats! Wow! Maybe have Sammy look on Darrens face book. He has posted like 900 pictures. We havent posted ONE! And what were you thinking not taking a camera San Diego girl?! Talk to you soon.

Is it not great to get away just for a minute? Love the kids more than life...but a break never hurts...right?! I agree..next time in Utah we go to dinner together...
